AFC Bournemouth Stadium Information

Dean Court, currently known as the Vitality Stadium for sponsorship purposes, is a football stadium in Kings Park, Boscombe, a suburb of Bournemouth, Dorset, England, and the home ground of AFC Bournemouth. Dean Court remains the smallest ground in the Premier League with a limited capacity of 11,464.

The Vitality is a small, tight but often intimidating ground thanks to the proximity of the crowd to the pitch. That combined with the fact that the club’s fans have seen them rise from relative obscurity to the heights of the Premier League means that the supporters are always up for the games. The Vitality is a traditional, four-sided stadium.

The Vitality Main Stand - The largest stand in the ground with a capacity of nearly 3,500, The Main Stand also houses the club’s VIP section and conference facilities. The Main Stand also features two family stands and a junior fan zone, so it’s the best place to go if you have kids.

Colmar Ted MacDougall Stand - The newest part of the stadium, this section of The Vitality was officially opened in 2013 when Bournemouth played host to, of all teams, Real Madrid!

Vitality Steven Fletcher Stand - The club is, seemingly, a fan of stands with long names and this is no exception. The capacity here is just under 2,500 and this is where the most loyal and vocal Cherries fans sit.

The Vitality East Stand - The East Stand seats about 3,500 fans, with 1,500 of them being the away supporters.

Hotels Near Vitality Stadium

Ole Ole is the marketplace for hard to get hotels near Vitality Stadium. For the best matchday experience, a hotel near Vitality Stadium will provide you a total fan experience. Having a hotel close to the stadium is very important, and Ole Ole is your source for hard to get accommodations.

Where is the best local AFC Bournemouth Pubs to go to before the match?

Owing to the fact that the stadium itself a little outside of Bournemouth centre you might not find an ideal place to drink all that close to the ground. Instead, you may wish to explore the city centre or nearby Boscombe for a pre-match pint and a bite to eat.

156-164 Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, BH1 1NL (01202 295 072)

Always a favourite of stag dos and Australians, the Walkabout in Bournemouth shows sport, serves alcohol, and does reasonably tasty food.

Sir Percy Florence Shelley

560 Christchurch Road, Boscombe BH1 4BH (01202 786510)

This is a Wetherspoons, so you know what you’re going to get. Cheap and cheerful booze and pub grub with a tele showing live news. It’s slightly closer to the ground than the Walkabout though.

Lions Head

142 Holdenhurst Rd, Boscombe, Bournemouth BH8 8AS (01202 900014)

This place is just a cough and a spit from the train station and in the right direction for the stadium too, being just a 20-minute walk away. It's a great place for karaoke too apparently.

What are some AFC Bournemouth fan traditions?

If you are going to attend a match, learn the AFC Bournemouth chants

The club's Main Reception on match day is also an entrance to the main stand for those with hospitality tickets. You'll find Cherry Chimes has a brick placed outside the front reception if you look really hard - see if you can find it. There are usually security men about so it is a safe place with everyone looking to enjoy the day. You'll need a pass to get up to the Top Floor Restaurant or the Bubbles Champagne bar but if you are a home supporter you can show your ticket to get in the 1910 bar where there is a selection of drinks and food on sale.

Who are AFC Bournemouth biggest rivals?

According to a recent poll named 'The League of Love and Hate' in August 2019, Bournemouth supporters named near neighbors Southampton to be their biggest rivals, with Portsmouth and Brighton and Hove Albion following.
